      I think he's only fallen asleep once and his head kind of just dangled like in front of him. Back then he didn't know how to hang on to the front bar. They usually have like a pad on the hold bar though. He was perfectly fine sleep though. Although, we did try to get back quickly after he fell asleep. I would guess 15 or 20 minutes dangling. Kids survive hours in their car seat with necks all bent lol, as long as you don't go curb jumping after they fall asleep, they should be ok.

      @jeremys3987 5 лет назад

      Your comments are totally irrelevant for anyone except the ignorant. What does his speed have to do with having "balls". The man was just towing his trailer and enjoying the scenery when he decided to share his excellent fuel economy numbers with other people who might be interested. I had a ram 2500 cummins and have pulled my 32' 8000# bumper pull at 80mph in the passing lane for a 230 mile trip. And didnt enjoy the scenery cause I had to focus on traffic and the keeping the 8' wide trailer in my lane. But I dont feel the need to make silly childish remarks to this man nor do I feel like my "balls" are in anyway superior to his. This is the problem with youtube. Everyone who has nothing good to say thinks they have to leave a dumb comment and try to roast and bash people. If you dont have anything good to say to anyone than dont say anything at all cause it just makes you sound like an idiot.

    How's the ride for you? Is it comfortable to ride with the seat there? Months on, does he still fit? Would you still recommend?

    • @-JesusisGod-
      @-JesusisGod- 5 лет назад

      so i'm 5'11 and the ride definitely changed for me. I have to peddle with my legs now kind of turned out so my knees don't hit the seat. Also, I have to change my foot position on the peddles from my normal position so I don't again, hit the seat. It's not all that comfortable but definitely manageable to have fun with my family. So with kids, they get super chubby but then they hit a brick wall because they start crawling, walking, and then running. They don't lose weight, they just start stretching and staying the same weight. My son was super super chubby. He was like 25 pounds at 5 months old. Now that he's just over 2 years old, he's only like 33 pounds and still fits (with adjusted peddles) in the front seat but by summer time we'll probably move him to the back seat (45 pound weight limit). If you have a normal to thin child then the front seat would work for at least another year or more. Hope that gives you more insight.

  • @twowheelsdown2002
    @twowheelsdown2002 5 лет назад

    For those griping that you are not doing 75, keep in mind some states limit tow speed to 55mph. Not only that, but most people towing an rv are not in a race. And if traveling with a trailer on scenic backroads to good camping places the speeds are also much lower anyways. I want to tow a small trailer and live in it full time when I retire, and though I drive motorcycles quite fast, I will be in no hurry towing a trailer, and will probably want the better safety and gas mileage with less wear and tear.

    by law, I know the law in California is 55 mph when pulling a trailer. I guess other states don't have that. I am bummed with our 2018 ecodiesel. We pulled a 4000 lb trailer with maybe 500 lbs of additions and a 100 lb dog in the cab and we got anywhere from 10 to 12 mpg with ours. Without trailer, dodge says it should be 20 to 27 mpg, but only once did we get close to 20. I had hoped for more and paying the higher price for fuel and a diesel, I am disappointed. We only have maybe 1200 miles on it now. Hoping for improvement with age. We did drive most the way at 63 mph with trailer, when not in traffic, from northern to southern CA and back.

      How is yours doing now Billy?

    • @-JesusisGod-
      @-JesusisGod- 6 лет назад

      WOW that's crazy. I battled with selling my truck because of finances but my wife and I decided to (praise God we were able to) keep it since buying one later would cost sooooooo much more in the end. My truck still runs excellent. It's been that way since I drove it off of the dealership floor. I had to have the 3 way coolant valve replaced and it threw a crazy code that PCM and ECM were a little off but it didn't seem to be really of anything. My outdoorsman is on the spring lift so maybe that's cutting down on weight but man your numbers are really low. Were you in a serious head wind or something? are you geared higher for towing? Its gotta be something.

    • @-JesusisGod-
      @-JesusisGod- 6 лет назад

      My truck is a 2014 and is still only at 30,000 miles.

    • @gerryperry4081
      @gerryperry4081 6 лет назад

      nope, very little wind. In fact, we came down what is known as the grapevine into the Central Valley of California coming home, so very steep incline down to valley floor for miles. We thought for sure, we had to get good mileage at that point. NOPE.. I was so bummed. In fact, we filled up yesterday. All 179 miles were towing our trailer. Just over 9 mpg on flat land, no wind. I think after our trip coming up here very soon to the mountains and back, I'm going to make a stop into the dealership and see if they can give me a heads up to whats happening. This just can't be right. So what miles do you get when NOT towing a trailer or are you like us, mostly got it to tow trailer and not a run around vehicle? Praise God yours has worked out. God has been good to me in so many ways, so I am not used to things not working out for me. I do count my blessings.

    • @-JesusisGod-
      @-JesusisGod- 6 лет назад

      most of what I use the truck for are trips out of town; hunting, fishing, and family trips. I use it a few times a month for work. Much of the use is outside of towing (for now) but I average 26 to 33 mph most trips. 26 is in really high head winds (worste ever was very strong head wind at 24 mpg and it was bad) and 33 when stuck behind big rigs so my average is usally betwen 29 and 31 mph with normal circumstances. Best ever was 37 mpg but that was at 55, not towing, and behind a line of cars behind a big rig. You're not the first to say your ecodiesel isn't as good on mpg and i'm not the only one to say that my ecodiesel is great on mpg. I really couldn't say what the difference has been. I will say that I do drive for mpg, but 9 mpg on flat land with no wind? I don't know what to say about that. I will pray for you and your family and that the truck situation works out though brother.
